It’s date night. Peanut butter on toast won’t cut it. If only you had gone to that Pizza Masterclass, you could have been tossing up dough like a pro, red wine in the other hand …
Salt Meats Cheese has steadily gained a reputation for being THE delicatessen this side of Surfers Paradise. This family-owned Italian restaurant and purveyor of gourmet Italian produce use quality ingredients to create their classically-inspired dishes, and have fun while they’re at it. Nutella bomb? I’ll try it! Flaming Wheel of Cheese? Put that extinguisher down, that’s one fire I’m fanning!
Beyond the amazing produce you can inhale for lunch and dinner (like the authentic “Classico” calzone with fior de latte, double smoked ham, mushroom, ricotta and spinach topped with tomato sauce, or the handmade Sicilian cannoli) Salt Meats Cheese also play host to insanely popular cooking classes that will see you whipping up perfect pasta in no time.
Held on a Sunday afternoon between 3-5pm, you have the choice of the Pizza Masterclass or Pasta Cooking Class (generally people do both – once you get a taste for Italian chef skills it’s hard to be basic again).
Both classes are step-by-step and are suitable for all cooking levels. Pizza bases and fresh pasta will be easy-peasy, all you need to do is show up with friends, sisters, mums, boyfriends, significant others – whoever you desire – and have fun. And don’t fret – you get to try out your masterpiece with a glass of wine at the end of the class. Aprons included guys!
Check out the Salt Meats Cheese events page for the next round of classes.
See you on MasterChef …
